This policy explains how Cut to Size Acrylic Online, the online service of Showcase Plastics and Displays, handles personal information when you browse our website, request a quote, place an order or use a customer account.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use our services, we collect:

Your name, email address, phone number, company name if supplied, and billing, delivery or collection details.
Enquiries, quotes, correspondence, order notes and files or artwork you provide for a job.
Product selections and specifications, such as dimensions, colour, thickness, holes, finishing, quantities and personalisation.
Order history, payment status and transaction references needed to process and reconcile your order.
Account details, email-verification status, saved specifications or project labels, and any customer-specific discount recorded on your account.
Technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, session identifiers and error or security logs.

We collect information directly through our forms, checkout, account pages, emails and phone conversations. We also receive relevant payment and delivery updates from the providers involved in your order. Cookies and similar technologies collect some technical information automatically.

Please send only information needed for your enquiry or order. If your artwork or order includes another person’s details, please make sure you have permission to supply them.

How we use your information

We use your information to prepare quotes, manufacture your items, process payments, arrange pickup or delivery, respond to enquiries, send order updates and invoices, manage customer accounts and saved specifications, and resolve problems or disputes. We also use relevant records to protect the website against fraud and misuse, troubleshoot faults and meet legal and record-keeping obligations.

You can browse without an account and use guest checkout. We may be unable to quote, complete an order or arrange delivery if necessary contact, payment or delivery information is missing.

We use customer email addresses for orders, quotes, enquiries and account messages. We do not currently send newsletters or promotional email campaigns.

Accounts, saved designs and order history

Account information and saved specifications are stored in our website database. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes rather than readable passwords. We use verification emails to confirm access to the email address on an account, and password-reset emails to help customers regain access.

After you verify your email address, your account may display previous guest orders placed using that same address. Orders belonging to another customer account are not made available simply because an email address matches.

Your account can retain saved specifications and cart information for future visits. Some unfinished product selections are also saved in the browser on the device you use. Saving a selection does not place an order.

Payments and delivery

Online PayPal and card payments use PayPal’s payment services. PayPal processes the payment information you provide through its service, while we receive information needed to record the transaction and fulfil your order, such as payment status, transaction references and relevant contact or billing details. PayPal’s own information handling is explained in its Privacy Statement. Please do not send full card numbers or card security codes to us by email or through an enquiry form.

For delivery quotes and bookings, relevant address, contact and parcel information is provided to Transdirect and the carrier involved. The information required for a quote may differ from the information required to book and deliver a parcel. See the privacy provisions in Transdirect’s Trading Terms and Conditions.

Who can access or receive information

Staff and authorised service providers may access information needed to do their work. These include our website hosting, email, IT support, payment and freight providers. Our website hosting provider is VentraIP; its information handling is described in the VentraIP Privacy Policy.

Enquiries and copies of website emails, including email delivery logs, may be retained in the website or our email systems so we can follow up requests and investigate delivery problems. Information may also be provided to professional advisers or authorities where reasonably needed to meet legal obligations or deal with a dispute.

Cookies and services loaded by your browser

The website uses cookies and browser storage to keep a cart, maintain a signed-in session, remember unfinished product configurations and support security checks. You can clear or restrict these through your browser settings. Doing so may remove unfinished selections, sign you out or prevent parts of ordering from working. Clearing browser storage does not delete an order or information already saved to your account.

Some of our enquiry forms use Google reCAPTCHA for spam, fraud and abuse prevention. This service processes technical information about your browser and interaction with the site. Google describes its current processing arrangements in the reCAPTCHA documentation.

Some pages load Google Fonts and payment components from third-party servers. Those services receive technical request information, including your IP address, when they load. See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google Fonts and the PayPal Privacy Statement above for payment components. If you follow a link to a map, social media page or another website, that service’s own privacy practices apply.

Storage, security and overseas processing

We store information in our website database, business email systems and business records, and copies may be held in backups. We use HTTPS, password-protected administration and account access controls to help protect it. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Our website is hosted in Australia. Some service providers operate internationally, so information may also be processed outside Australia. PayPal identifies the United States and other countries in its international-transfer information, and Google’s services use global infrastructure. Provider locations depend on the service and its suppliers; the provider policies linked above contain further information. Contact us if you need details about a particular service used for your order.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the type of information and why it is needed, including completing work, supporting accounts and repeat orders, responding to enquiries or disputes, and meeting tax and other record-keeping obligations. Accounts and order records do not currently have an automatic deletion date simply because they become inactive.

You can ask us to review information we hold, close an account or delete information that is no longer needed. Closing an account or deleting a saved design does not automatically erase invoices, completed-order records, correspondence or backup copies. We may need to retain some information for legal, accounting, security or dispute-related reasons.

Access, corrections and deletion requests

You can update available account and address details while signed in. For a copy of your information, a correction, an account closure or a deletion request, contact cts@showcaseplastics.com.au. You do not need an account to make a request. Tell us what you need and, if relevant, the email address or order reference involved.

We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity before releasing or changing records. We will review your request, respond within a reasonable period and explain if any information must be retained or a request cannot be completed.

Privacy questions or complaints

Contact us with the details of your concern so we can investigate and respond. If we need more information or time, we will let you know. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner for guidance about your rights and available complaint options.
